A specialist in constructing complete agri-food production lines, Guelt (Quimperlé, 160 employees, €17.5M turnover 2016, 10% exported) is thriving buoyed by the French market. During the last CFIA, Guelt exhibited the MSG Dual, a machine that combines box forming and filling, which has been developed with Méca-Système (Saint-Rémy-la-Vanne, Paris region), a specialist in box packing mechanisation.
In 2013, Guelt took a majority shareholding in the capital of Picpac Systems (Saint-Félix, Paris region, fifteen employees), a specialist in robotics and industrial vision. Pooling their commercial processes has allowed the two companies to extend their activities into new territories and markets where they were not previously found, like wine-making where Guelt has just won a €700k contract.
The company wishes to consolidate this strategy towards other sectors such as cosmetics and plans to hire forty to fifty people within three years.
