The La Quiberonnaise canning plant received the “Living Heritage Company” label a little over a year ago. Although Thierry Jourdan, director of the canning plant, was committed to achieving this recognition, it promotes the company’s know-how and its renown. Carrying the Living Heritage Company label reassures both private and professional customers.
A Parisian company contacted the Quiberon canning plant after its obtained the certificate: “Prunier suggested that we work together. They have created a sardine tin and we filled it. La Quiberonnaise is now located on Place de la Madeleine in Paris”, states Thierry Jourdan.
The canning plant is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year. And the family business which has remained La Quiberonnaise is still ambitious. One million tins leave the factory every year and it processes 120 tonnes of sardines.
