Roc Drill has a niche market as a specialist in designing and implementing drilling tools – very large diameter drilling with overburden (the liner is lowered at the same time as the drill head which saves time). Only a handful of operators worldwide operate in this way. With its equipment suited to port sites and quarry work, water or geothermal search, Roc Drill operates worldwide by working for subsidiaries of major French customers and directly with customers in Chad, Niger and Benin. Roc Drill set a world record in the Port of La Rochelle in May 2015 by installing the largest ever overburden: 1321 mm in diameter. The company is hoping that this new record will help to make its cutting-edge know-how as an assembler known in France and abroad to increase its visibility in these markets.
