A global photonics centre of excellence at Lannion

Lannion has had Photonics Park for a few months. This scientific park has been created to support the growth of the photonics sector, mainly through transfer of technologies. The park covers 1,000 m2 and has a start-up and SME incubator, a business centre that houses Oxxius, for example, and the Perfos technological platform, which designs, produces and markets special fibre optics and specific components and which has new laboratories and the very latest equipment in integrating this new space.

In Lannion, photonics account for 520 employees and eighty students supported by Photonics Bretagne via a cluster of some hundred members, chaired by B. Cadier. The association has about ten employees.
