On the fringes of the Open de l’International organised by Bretagne Commerce International (BCI), the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Mr Fekl, has inaugurated Feel Africa, a new device proposed by Bretagne Filières, an association of business leaders. Its mission is to roll out projects from sectors, mainly agri-food, in Africa. The first experiment by the association was to support the development of the dairy sector in Algeria through transfers of technology. It mobilised about forty Bretagne businessmen, their Algerian counterparts and French and Algerian institutions. The goal of Feel Africa was to unite Bretons and Africans around these topics and promote the African continent in the presence of a Congolese delegation and French companies working in Africa (Sanders, InVivo NSA, etc.). The director of Bretagne Filières, X. Déquippe, evokes other projects in progress like the construction of a dairy in Senegal, support for livestock rearing or support for the market gardening sector in Burkina Faso.
