A specialist in increasing fibre optic capacity, CAILabs (Rennes) has raised a second tranche amounting to €1M from the fund Starquest Capital in order to speed up the mainly international development of its components and its innovative technology in processing light beams. Its Aroona solution can boost the fibre optic flow rate up to four hundred times by managing the shape of light signals sent in the multimode fibre in existing networks.
CAILabs has already raised €3.6M and is recognised by the major telecoms players like Huawei, IBM, Nokia and KDDI. It also markets multiplexers specific for R&D teams in the telecoms sector who are working on new generation fibres.
