With the inauguration of the new Gelagri fast-freezing line (Loudéac, 800 employees, €165M turnover) following €5M investment, the Triskalia group (Landerneau) is setting its sights on 2020 by rolling out a €50M development plan. This plan will reinforce Gelagri, with its two sites (Saint-Caradec and Loudéac) brought together at Loudéac. Its other four cooking/freezing lines will be renewed within two years (€25M), to maintain its role of major player of frozen vegetables and ready-to-eat meals, under own brand or its Paysan Breton brand. The other half of the investment funds will go to the two Spanish units and on-going renewal of equipment.
