Hydroclean (Noyal-Pontivy, 20 employees, €4M turnover) bought the company Dimaco (Chinon, Indre-et-Loire, 28 employees, €6.3M turnover) a year ago. Dimaco manufactures high-pressure washers specifically for the building, public works, agricultural and industrial sectors. The newspaper Les Echos notes that these closer ties are intended to establish the entire unit as French leader for high-pressure cleaners with an annual turnover of €10M (€M the target for 2020) and to compete with the sector giants – the German Kärcher and the Danish Nilfish Alto. There are now only three manufacturers in France compared with 25 twenty years ago. The company produces ~1,000 custom-made machines a year for the agri-food industry. International sales account for 15% of the Hydroclean business, mainly in Europe and Africa, and the company wishes to continue to expand export cooperation to achieve 40% growth by 2020.
