The biosafety specialist, Hypred (Dinard), is buying out 100% of LCB Food Savety (Boz, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 50 employees, €10M turnover), a specialist in livestock farm disinfection, to face up to the increasing number of health risks that urge farmers to greater hygiene on their farms. This rounds out the company’s range of agricultural and agri-food hygiene products, mainly its patented method of dry disinfecting of pig and poultry farms and sectors like bread-making, cheese-making or meat and the ultrafiltration technology that leaves no residue or moisture.
Hypred already took over the German company Anti-Germ in April (€80M turnover 2016), which offers hygiene solutions for the food and drink markets and also for disinfecting water with its Medentech and Aquatabs brands. After this operation, Hypred will have €200M turnover and count 900 employees. The group is currently found in some 40 countries in Europe and America. Not that LCB Food Savety sells 60% of its products abroad, mainly in Asia. Hypred will use its Chinese establishment to boost the presence of this new subsidiary.
