Ker Cadélac and Le Guillou are targeting exports with frozen foods

Pâtisseries gourmandes (Loudéac, 550 employees, €120M turnover 2016, 20% exported) manufactures madeleines, pound cake and Bretagne palet biscuits under the Ker Cadélac and Le Guillou brands and has recently been developing a range of frozen desserts to win over customers at McDonald’s, Starbucks and Picard.

Already found in Europe, the group wishes to expand its growth internationally. With these longer-life products, the company should find it easier to export to China. Pâtisseries Gourmandes is the leading automatic distributor, sells 80% of its product in major retail outlets and holds part of the Air France and communities market.

The secret of its success is innovation and the desire to remain close to home-made recipes using top-quality raw ingredients.
