Mensia Technologies tackles the issue of attention disorders

Since approximately 5% of children aged 6 to 12 suffer from attention deficit disorder (33% hyperactivity-impulsivity), Mensia Technologies (Rennes & Paris, 12 employees) has invested €10 M in Mensia Koala, a therapeutic artificial intelligence solution, with funding (€1.3 million) from Inria, Health Angels Rhône-Alpes and Bpifrance.

The solution consists of a brain training video game accompanied by a headset with amplifiers and a tablet, which can store data and transmit it to a practitioner to analyse and measure the child’s progress. The solution will soon be available in the United States after seeing its model validated by a European clinical study of 95 children living in 5 countries.
