To support its growth, Saveurs Cristal (Sill group, Rueil-Malmaison – Ile de France, 160 employees, €12M turnover 2016), which specialises in the manufacture of high-end freeze-dried cocktail nibbles, has invested €4M to expand its 10,000 m2 Le Pertre site (130 employees, €9M turnover 2016) and set up a third production line.
The company’s turnover has tripled since 2014. Saveurs Cristal is taking increasing numbers of orders from its professional customers: restaurant owners, hotels, high-end caterers, distributors and frozen food stores (Picard, etc.). Its products should be available in major retail outlets at the end of 2017, even if the new production line is only likely to be operational early in 2018.
The Pertre factory produces 140,000 items a day, including 10% for Benelux, England and the United States. The SME is seeking to expand its business into Asia and the USA, with the potential to create 35 to 40 jobs in addition to the 40 current ones. Saveurs Cristal explains that its success is due to its innovative ability thanks to its five R&D employees.
