Success for the 12th annual Breton regional mission in Japan

From 17th to 23rd July, a Breton delegation led by Loig Chesnais-Girard, 1st Vice President of the Regional Council for the economy, innovation and attractiveness, traveled to Tokyo.
This 12th trip to Japan was organized like every year by Bretagne Commerce International (BCI). In addition to the visits to the top management of Japanese companies already operating in Bretagne, the objectives of the mission were to establish some links in the sectors of cybersecurity and smart grids, the internet of energy, two tracks of future industrial cooperation between Bretagne and Japanese companies.

Together with Hassan Triqui, CEO of Secure-ic, a SME specialized in the protection of electronic circuits, Loig Chesnais-Girard presented the Excellence Cluster to NEC Telecommunication, NISC (National Incident Center of readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity) and the Japanese Ministry of Defense. Their interlocutors were particularly interested in the works carried out in training, research and industrial development.
The delegation also presented the project of intelligent electricity distribution networks SMILE (Smart Ideas to Link Energies) and the know-how in Bretagne on the Internet of energy at a seminar organized by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), which brought together twenty Japanese companies.
On both subjects, strategic discussions and Q&A sessions have been successful. They will be continued, late August, visits in Bretagne being planned. ”
