The port of Brest is France’s first port for naval fleet servicing and civilian ship repair. To boost commercial port activity and accommodate new industrial activities relating to marine renewable energy, the port of Brest is in the process of building new facilities. From 2018, the first 12 ha dedicated to the manufacture, storage and transport of large, heavy-duty components (> 2 000 T), will be made available for the industry.
